Workshops listed on the Calendar page of this site are available to youth.  The workshops include career exploration and computer skills.  You must call 724.728.4860 extension 215 to reserve a seat for all workshops.  It is important to cancel if you are unable to attend.

Program Services

All program services are subject to WIA eligiblity requirements.  Please call Pat at 724.728.4860 extension 221 to discuss your eligibility.

• GED Classes - We offer extensive  GED preparation, pre-testing, and testing fee payment.
• Internships and Apprenticeships - A six week, wage subsidized program that provides experience in the youth's area of career interest.
• School to Work Subsidized Work Experience - A six week, wage subsidized program that enables truant youth an alternative to explore a career while maintaining their school attendance requirement.
• Post Secondary Education Training Funds - Funds available through WIA to help subsidize post secondary schools or training tuition.
• Summer Employment Programs - A six week, wage subsidized program that enables youth to experience work and career exploration through several areas.  Some past programs have provided opportunites to build computers and individual work experience for younger youth ages 15 - 21.
  SYSC (Summer Youth Service Corps) for ages 16 - 21 offers subsidized employment with a work crew that is mobile throughout Beaver County
